All of the major ski fields in New Zealand meet international ski standards, and are located near towns that are serviced by rail, coach and/or air travel and offer an excellent range of accommodation to suit all budgets. 

Each ski town/resort have their own unique attractions, scenery and social events, like the Queenstown Winter Festival, the Ruapehu Mardi Gras in Ohakune, and many more.

To take the hassle out of finding accommodation, there is a range of Ski New Zealand ski packages that include your accommodation, daily mountain transfers, daily ski passes, with either rental car or airport transfer options and local tax.

Optional extras such as daily breakfast, ski/snowboard hire and ski/snowboarding lessons are available.

Alternatively, each ski field location has their own Ski Holiday Planner, where you can create your own customised skiing or snowboarding package for the North Island ski fields of Whakapapa and Turoa to the major South Island ski fields of Mt Hutt, Queenstown (Coronet Peak and Remarkables), Wanaka (Treble Cone and Cardrona) or the smaller ski fields of Mt Dobson and Lake Ohau.

Learning to ski or board has never been easier. There are beginners' facilities on all mountains, with dedicated beginners' slopes at all ski areas. Everything you need for a fantastic day is available. Snow Schools are offering world class learning centers and products for both adults and kids.
